The Two Faces of Communitarianism

Communitarianism emerged in the 1980s as a response to the limits of liberal theory and practice. Its dominant themes are that individual rights need to be balanced with social responsibilities, and that autonomous selves do not exist in isolation, but are shaped by the values and culture of communities.

Communitarians see themselves as building a major social movement paralleling that of the Progressive movement in the early twentieth century. Their ideas have been very influential in academia, and have filtered into the Clinton White House.

"Thousand Points of Light", "Third Way", "Compassionate Conservatism" all catch phrases of the communitarian presidents Bush, Clinton, and Bush. See why things never change in the District of Criminals? Programs instituted by one administration are continued and grown no matter which political party is in charge. The two faces of communitarianism are republican and democrat, labour and tory, etc. Communitarianism is the synthesis of the fake struggle between the two political philosophies that determine the course of countless countries around the globe.

Against individualism, the Fascist conception is for the State; and it is for the individual in so far as he coincides with the State.... Liberalism denied the State in the interests of the particular individual; Fascism reaffirms the State as the true reality of the individual.

Obama is merely a continuation of policy that actually took root with FDR and was enshrined as dogma with LBJ and his "Great Society" and his "bullets and butter" mindset.

"The Third Way", "Communitarianism", and "The Hegelian Dialectic" are not difficult concepts to read and understand but they require the reader to exercise some self criticism and more than a little honesty to realize that we, the American public, have bought a pig in a poke so to speak. All of this is a bit more than John Q. Public is willing to accept, besides we may miss "The Bachelor" or "American Idol" and that would be unacceptable. Bread and circuses, by G-D we must have our bread and circuses!

In essence we have only one political party in America. The Communitarian Party and a loose collection of freedom loving people known as libertarians. Since people of a libertarian mindset value individual freedom and individual responsibility over the collective....there is no way in hell that there is any danger of us coming to power. We haven't any bread or circuses to give to the peasantry. That and there is that scary concept of personal responsibility. Can't have that can we?

Communitarian sounds much less threatening than communist/socialist, doesn't it?

Empirical Discards

As a veteran I have often heard it said that the measure of a country can be seen in its treatment of the people that it calls upon for the ultimate duty. In all actuality it can be seen in its treatment of the people that are no longer able to serve due to injury, or especially to the ones that have been crippled by unseen injuries. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) used to be referred to as shell shock and is the incapacitating of the service member caused by damaging the mental capacity beyond the point of being able to function in a serviceable role.

By all accounts that I have ever read, our service members were treated with great care and compassion after WW2. However, this was our point of no return as it was our last war that actually had a more or less noble purpose. Korea and Vietnam were not actual wars, but were military exercises meant to deny a political adversary (USSR) a prize and to enrich the military industrial complex that Eisenhower had warned us about. The skirmishes since have been exercises in geopolitical chess and to allow the military to practice an often new combat philosophy.

Flash forward to Desert Storm...........it was about the oil. Period. That is the only way that you can cobble together such a disparate coalition as was used to kick Saddam's ass out of Kuwait. Actually it was America doing the kicking, the rest were for window dressing.

Our people returning from Iraq complained from a plethora of maladies that have been termed "Gulf War Syndrome" which was denied by all governments involved. Recently the government of the UK has admitted to problems that many have attributed to the depleted uranium armament used in many applications, most notably as armor piercing rounds. The dust from the disintegration of these rounds has found its way into lungs and environment alike. Iraqi birth defects outpaced the entire world after this skirmish. Go sucking some uranium dust into your lungs and see if you come out fine and dandy. Note that this was the first time that this technology was used on a wholesale basis. Nothing wrong with you soldier, take some of these pills and get the hell out, we don't need any sick call soldiers taking up valuable space.

September 11, 2001 was a good reason to go in and totally obliterate AFGHANISTAN. By refusing to hand over Bin Laden and his unwashed rag head followers, that should have sealed their fate. Total and complete obliteration of the country was justified and should have happened. No need to occupy or attempt nation building. Maybe an oil pipeline had something to do with this strategy. Invading Iraq had been on the Bush agenda since becoming president-elect. There is ample proof of this available all over the internet for your perusal. We take over the country and proceed to build the worlds largest and most expensive embassy complex. Why? Could it possibly be the worlds third largest oil reserves?

There is no longer anything about this country that is noble or good. We are just marching along on the path of empire and starting to stagger under the weight of trying to rule far flung nations and provinces with intimidation, whether it be militarily or financially. Both of which are losing their power.

Don't think so? Just try crossing the empire or cease being useful to it and see how fast you get discarded.

Sedition

Sedition: incitement of resistance to or insurrection against lawful authority.

The very word itself has an ominous ring to it. Perhaps it was meant to be so, as the act of sedition has at various times throughout history exacted the ultimate punishment of execution.

The charge has now been thrown about by Joe Klein of Time Magazine (pictured above) when referring to Sarah Palin, Glen Beck, and Rush Limbaugh for daring to speak out against the American Caesar (Obama). Insofar as I am concerned there isn't any love lost for the aforementioned accused. Palin is to me, nothing more than an establishment republican. Beck is just silly most of the time and Limbaugh has been a loyal water boy for the republicans since he was wet behind the ears. Regardless of my opinion of the "faces of the conservative movement", they still have a G-D given right to express their opinions of and to vehemently disagree with whatever regime happens to sit on the throne of the Empire of the District of Criminals.

The Alien & Sedition Acts of 1798 were used to shut down dissent and imprison opposition to the over reaching federal government. Has a familiar ring to it, huh? America was involved with an undeclared naval war with France and there was a lot of opposition to it. Thomas Jefferson and James Madison were two of the more notable opponents and were stirred to author the Virginia and Kentucky Resolutions. Benjamin Franklin's grandson was imprisoned for daring to publish "libelous" articles against the president.

What is sad, is that in this day and time there are no longer any Jeffersons or Madisons to rise up and take the lead against tyrannical federal power.

The caveat is that the charge of sedition can only be levied against those that rise up against lawful authority. There is nothing remotely lawful about the regime in DC and hasn't been since the march toward empire began. However the regime gets to define the words and the MSM dutifully regurgitates the empirical pablum.

Surely I am to be considered seditious for daring to rail against the regime. Since I am not famous and you will never see me on television, would I be so inconsequential to the regime that I will be left alone? Regardless of the consequences, I must and do call for the people to rise up and throw off the burdensome yoke that the regime is placing on our necks.

Much like the wolf in Aesop's fables, I am of the mind that an empty belly in freedom is preferable to a fully belly as a slave. People often quote the bible as telling us to obey the government. It does that indeed..............but it is referring to just and lawful government.

I exhort everyone to start stock piling the items necessary to take you through some hard times. The minions in the MSM are not saying these things for the fun of it. They do what their masters in DC tell them to.

Sarah Palin - Establishment Skirt

See Sarah's fingers.............that is the difference between her and any other run of the mill politico. She is not an outsider to the beltway, she is the same song with a slightly different jiggle.........errrr jingle. She has endorsed John McCain against his republican opponent, this same John McCain that is all for an open, uncontrolled border with Mexico. The same John McCain whose home state is choking to death with illegal aliens and the concomitant tsunami of crime that by necessity accompanies a criminal class of humans.

She has been rather busy of late getting all of the face time that she can by association with the Tea Partiers. While she is far, far easier on the eyes than Nazi Pelosi or Thunder Thighs Clinton.......she really isn't that far removed from the big government, nanny state mind set that the two aforementioned harpies espouse.

Mrs. Palin and those like her are busy co-opting the Tea Party folks in an effort to re-brand themselves as constitution believing, honest to G-D, flag waving, American conservatives.

I propose a litmus test for any of the "new conservatives" that are frothing at the mouth on television. The fine folks over at the Cato Institute put out a hand held booklet of the constitution. Compare the voting records of the liar wanting your vote with the constitution and ask, "Why has this scumbag been voting contrary to the constitution for his/her whole career?" I feel safe in saying that they haven't followed the constitution because you, John Q. Public doesn't know what is in the constitution. It hasn't mattered to you since you had to squeak through your high school civics class.

Watch what is happening to what was once a great country instead of being glued to the TV to see what some trashy guido tramps are doing on "Jersey Shore". The real reality TV is what is kicking your country's butt into the gaping arms of euro-socialism.

A congressman was caught off guard admitting that Obamacare will control the people, but it will take time. I don't really blame the leftists for this rape of AmeriKa, I blame John Q. Public and I blame the repuklican party. They were on a drunken orgy of deficit spending to please the dictates of the neocon puppet GW Bush. After eight years of their behavior (don't forget the fat cat Wall St. bailout began under Bush) the dimwits in AmeriKa were willing to put anyone in office that would give them the bank instead of the fat cats on Wall St. The fat cats got the first slice of pie anyway and now every working class rube gets to foot the bill for every illegal alien or dead beat that doesn't work.

In The Rear View Mirror

Have you ever watched an object in your rear view mirror just as you passed it and then to disappear slowly over the retreating horizon? You could be looking directly at it and then switch to the mirror at the instant that it pops into view and while it looks like the object that you just passed, it isn't. Your mind is playing a trick on you because it is familiar with the object. It is an opposite view of what you were looking at prior to passing. It can be quite disconcerting once that you realize this and it becomes even more so the farther that you get from it. Then it is gone and you are left pondering what you have seen. Was it really what you were looking at during its approach or was it really the opposite image that was retreating into the crevices of your mind.

Such is the case of the country known as America. We become cognizant of the country somewhere in kindergarten when we first start learning the "Pledge of Allegiance" and then spoon fed the approved history of the empire all throughout our indoctrination in the "school system".

Once we leave the educational system we have a choice of re-educating ourselves to the dark, ugly truth or we latch on to the teat of the main stream media and suckle until we have been numbed down or dumbed down to the point of blindness. We are blinded by white hot patriotism and by the Hegelian Dialectic that it is us against the world, socialism against democracy, republicans against democrats, etc.

We know the truth.......it is them against us. Them being the government, the selected denizens of the Empire on the Potomac and us as the seekers of and keepers of the truth. Unfortunately, there are very few of us since the vast majority of our fellow slaves have fatted themselves on the aforementioned teat. The milk is at this moment turning sour as the house of cards is starting to crumble and the spin meisters in government and media are busily ginning up lists of subversives that have caused all of this malaise. You know as well as I, the subversives are the ones that know the truth.

We know the truth because we chose to avert our eyes from the blinding light as it got closer and started to seek the truth. At that very moment we passed the false image of America and started to see the opposite image in the rear view mirror and the false image gets smaller and smaller as we race for the truth.

Maybe I do think too much. I wrote all of this just to say Happy Birthday to what America was at one time (well over 150 years ago) and to what we always thought that America was.

To the America that truly exists in the mirror, I am reminded of a line out of an old poem.

Pearls, Ostritches, Televangelists, & John Q. Public

As first reported by The Drudge Report on the evening of June 24, 2009 ABC and the Obama administration become one. When it is pointed out that official government media is what you find in China, Cuba, Venezuela, and the former Soviet Union you get a "clutch the pearls" reaction and feigned righteous indignation from the Obamatons of the country.

Point out that the government has been nationalizing sectors of the economy and this unholy union of government and media is being done in order to nationalize another 20% of our economy and the Obamatons immediately become one of two things. They are either stumbling bumbling used car salesmen or they transform into slick televangelists.

The used car salesmen are akin to the average run of the mill John Q. Public. JQP doesn't have a grasp of what is really going on, he gets all of his opinions from THE BOOB TUBE. That is the scary part and the evil genius behind the plan. You can bet the family farm (quick before the government nationalizes farming) that the Great Leader El Douche will be polished to a high sheen and his teleprompters will be pumping him full of false facts and numbers as to why we need to give the government full control of the health care industry. JQP will not grasp the enormity of it but he will repeat verbatim, GLED's high lights just like Honest Earl would repeat the high lights of ownership in an Edsel.

The Obamaton televangelists will trot out in the weeks following the "Sermon in DC" with all of the talking points programmed in and delivered much like the rapid fire staccato delivery of a Robert Tilton type of televangelist. Before you go "clutching the pearls" again, the term televangelist is really very apropos in this instance. The Great Leader El Douche is their saviour, their god (with a little g).

When these things are pointed out to the Obamatons they usually attack the messenger instead of the message and then promptly stick their heads in the sand.

Sheeple! Pull your heads out of the sand and stare reality in the face. We are about to be no better than the Soviets were after 1917. Everything planned and executed from the central government. I have stated before that this country gets the government that it deserves.

Drag Queen's Cross Church

Actually the church is known as "Queen's Cross Church" but the irony of the happenings were too much for even me to pass up. However after the appointment of a sickeningly, practicing homosexual to head the local church, the name change should be given serious consideration.

I have long been of the opinion that the average American voter is one of the most conditioned response subjects to have ever been developed. This is a form of associative learning first demonstrated by Ivan Pavlov. (Pavlov's dogs)

In the American election cycle the respective parties supply the stimuli and the media then deliver it non stop to the salivating masses. The left side of the spectrum seems particularly adept at conditioning their test subjects. Just look at the biggest scam to have ever been devised to subjugate mankind.

Global Warming. Sounds ominous, doesn't it? Initially entering mass American consciousness just prior to the end of Bill Clintons' second term. After all Gore had to have a pithy phrase to sear into the minds of his future subjects and besides, this was a short phrase that was easily committed to memory.

Alas, even with an all too compliant media and plenty of "ad hoc" experts seeming to crawl out from every obscure rock in the dusty halls of academia it was still too an insurmountable challenge to get a dim witted stick man elected to the presidency. Considering Gores' opponent in the election, it could be argued that it took more effort to lose the election than to win it. Everyone thought that was the end of Gore, but with the assistance of some Hollyweird connections he goes on to make a movie about GLOBAL WARMING. This has turned into a global grab for power.

By playing on ginned up fear, the UN has gotten into the act. They want a global tax on carbon emissions. Cap and trade is the new buzz word. Arbitrarily set limits on emissions that can only be exceeded by purchasing "carbon credits" on an open market. This means that everyone gets to pay more, a lot more for everything. Business will not eat the costs of this. These costs of doing business always get passed along to consumers.

All of this to stop global warming. Actually all of this is to enslave mankind to a global power elite. Unelected, appointed bureaucrats at the UN overseeing practically every facet of your daily miserable existence.

I really should probably quit caring because the average American is gleefully following the Great Leader El Douche (GLED) off of the cliff like the lemmings they are.

All I can say is that if the Great Leader El Douche (GLED) were to announce tomorrow that we could eliminate global warming by everyone in America having a big bowl of bullshit and strawberries for breakfast every morning, you soon would not be able to scrape up enough strawberries for a dang pop tart and 90% of the people that you would meet would have some kicking halitosis.

Preventive Detention

According to an article in the May 20th edition of The New York Times, our great leader El Douche is wanting to rewrite the law to allow "preventive detention" of terrorists suspects deemed to be "potential threats" to security. People that are not able to be currently detained or put to trial for ANYTHING.

Gee, I wonder who gets to decide who is a potential terrorist? Couple this with what the worthless piece of meat has already deemed were potential terrorists in the Dept. of Homeland Security Extremism Report and I can see where people like ......ME would be at the top of the list.

Since nationalizing industry has never been a phenomena in America it would stand to reason that we would copy the successful efforts of other banana republics that did perpetrate these deeds. You know, go in and shoot any of the management that didn't really want to go along with the new regime and then make an announcement in the state run media that in the interest of the people the government of The Peoples Republic of Obamas ooooops Bananas is now in charge of widget manufacturing. That would be the efficient and cost effective way of going about it.

Did The Peoples Republic of Obama do this? OOohhhh no! First the ailing Government Motors is loaned 15 billion dollars to "get over the hump" so that restructuring may commence. Then today a news story breaks that the healthy assets of the company are going to be sold to a new company that will initially be owned by the government of The Peoples Republic of Obama! This will be so that the secured creditors may get their 6 billion dollars, of which the people of The Peoples Republic of Obama (henceforth known as TPRO) is not one of. The government of TPRO is going to forgive the 15 billion dollars that it has already "loaned" to Government Motors.

In addition to this Benny Hill attempt at nationalization the government of TPRO is going to give the union and bondholders of General Motors stakes in the new Government Motors. At the very least this is going to create a very large and compliant block of voters that will be grateful that El Douche the Supreme Leader of TPRO rode in on his donkey and saved them. Viva El Douche! Viva El Douche!

Someone with far more time and connections needs to start following the money trails. Do not listen to Rush Limprod, Shame Hannity, Man Coulter or any other republican mouth piece as they were complicit with the government shenanigans when all of this started on Comrade Bush's watch. This is not a nice thing to say, and not a pleasant thing to acknowledge, but it partakes of a more realistic sense of history than mildly embracing internationalism and vaguely suggesting a move in the direction of unilateral nuclear disarmament as Zakaria does when he suggests (on p. 241) that American “credibility” depends on such moves.
If we realize what we are against, we can mitigate the danger. If we go on dreaming of a bright future, we are going to be caught short.

Montana Has It Right

Montana recently enacted legislation asserting it's right to control firearm manufacturing and forbidding the Feds from having a say about it. From a legal standpoint they are spot on. The Empire in the District of Criminals has used the Interstate Commerce Clause to sink it's fangs into everything. That clause does not and can not apply to intrastate commerce. Silencers are expressly mentioned in the Montana legislation. I hope and pray that someone in Montana starts manufacturing automatic weaponry.

Obama has become "The Supreme Leader", the father of the soon to be U.S.S.A. Notice how similar the above picture is to old Soviet era propaganda posters.

Pay attention to the chant of the "Obama Youth" in the video. "Alpha Omega" is a term that G-D uses in the bible to refer to HIMSELF. Ladies and Gentlemen.............I give you "EL Douche". Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., has sponsored H.R. 2159, the Denying Firearms and Explosives to Dangerous Terrorists Act of 2009, which permits the attorney general to deny transfer of a firearm to any "known or suspected dangerous terrorist." The bill requires only that the potential firearm transferee is "appropriately suspected" of preparing for a terrorist act and that the attorney general "has a reasonable belief" that the gun might be used in connection with terrorism.

That chilling piece of legislation coupled with the Gestapo's (Dept. Homeland Security) watch list of extremists (PDF HERE) will give the government the power to deprive anyone of their second amendment right to keep and bear arms. The grinning buffoon above is the author of this piece of dung legislation.

Judging by the photo, Rep. King could be one of the sickos that would be "protected" under the Pedophile Protection Act. I can hear all of you perverts out there screaming, How can you say that? National Socialism had a more familiar name a nom de plume if you will. It was called the Nazi Party. What does this have to do with Obama you ask? Everything from his Obama Youth Regiment
To his nationalization of entire segments of the economy. What nationalization? Taking majority stockholder status in GM certainly qualifies as well as dozens of banks. Don't fall for the line that "majority stockholder is not nationalization", remember the old line "a rose by any other name would smell as sweet". Well this is not roses and it stinks to high heaven, but the analogy still applies.

Once this nationalization takes place, would it be so far fetched to say that all employees of these companies would be government employees? Can't happen you say. Baloney, look at TSA right after 9/11.

Should all go as planned, everyone will either be working for the government or SERVING the government.

Who is the largest landlord in the world? The government of the USA. Through the holding of all of these mortgages that are in default, Uncle Sam has become the largest landlord in the world. What will be done with these properties? Who knows. It is not that much of a stretch to see Obama placing the permanently down trodden into these properties.

I said it when Herr Bush shoved it down our throats. The "Patriot Act" will be used to usher in a police state that would have made Nazi Germany envious.

A gentleman from Louisiana was recently pulled over and detained for over half an hour because he dared to display a bumper sticker of the venerable "Gadsden Flag".
The policeman told the man that was the sole reason for pulling him over and initiating the investigation.

In case that you are unaware, the Gadsden Flag is the emblem at the top of this page. Yellow background, coiled rattlesnake with the warning"Don't Tread On Me". Ben Franklin helped to popularize this flag and a couple of variations.

Should the recent "Hate Crimes" bill become law, we will have witnessed the first step in the outlawing of Christian principals. This same type of legislation has been used successfully in other countries to imprison preachers for preaching biblical sermons that run contrary to what the government pet group permits. It is actually a "thought crimes" piece of legislation. My thoughts today....your thoughts tomorrow.
